Copper clad aluminum tube for RF cable

Bi-metal tube is a newly developed products launched after Aluminum Clad Copper tube. Its process is similar to Aluminum Clad Copper tube, but the outside is oxygen-free copper C11000, and the inside is Aluminum AA 3003, which allows the atom to achieve a key combination between copper and aluminum.
The cable has the same performance by using bi-metal tube comparing to using copper tube.
Inner conductors use bi-metal tubes in coaxial RF cables, air conditioner connecting tubes, etc.
Mechanical performance and configuration:
1. Bi-metal tube tensile strength is 150 ~ 190 MPa, elongation is 35% ~ 40%.
2. Bi-metal is an integrated material. The copper and aluminum can’t be separated, and it can be bended, expanded, and flared like copper tube.
3. The composition of copper and aluminum in the cross section is 60/40, density is 4.3, tube outer diameter and wall thickness are the same as copper tubes, and the length can reach 1500m.

According to the signal attenuation and RL testing, its performance index is not lower than copper tube, and meets the needs of related standards.

1. Compared to copper tube, the efficiency of bi-metal tubes can result in savings of about 30% ~ 40% of the purchasing cost.
2. SMC has a patent on bi-metal tubes, so currently only SMC and its authorized parties can produce it.
