Select base metals up on firming global cues

Select base metals prices showed a rising trend in the national capital today on sustained buying by stockists in line with a firming global trend.

Traders said higher London Metal Exchange advices was the main reason behind price rise here.

Stockist and traders were indulge in speculative buying in line with higher trend in London Metal Exchange, they added.

Nickel plate 4x4 hardened by Rs.10 to settle at Rs.1170-1285 a kilo on speculative buying.

Tin ingot fetched further gains of Rs.5 at Rs.1185 per kg on pick up in demand from consuming units.

Zinc ingot and zinc dross too finished higher at Rs.104 and Rs.95 a kilo respective in line with general trend, revealing a net gains of Rs.2 each.
