Zinc Falls Limit in China on Commodities Slump; Copper Down

Zinc futures fell bu the exchange-imposed daily limit in Shanghai as commodities dropped on speculation the dollar's slump will end as the Federal Reserve eases the pace of interest- rate reductions.

Zinc for June delivery fell by 810 yuan, or 4 percent, from the previous settlement price, to 19,420 yuan ($2,749) a ton and traded at6 that level at 9:04a.m. local time.
