Yunnan Tin to Repay $6 Million Debts for Its Singapore Unit

The unit, Singapore Tin Industries Pte., borrowed from United Overseas Bank Ltd. and was unable to repay the loans because a shortage of raw materials affected its production, Yunnan Tin said today in a statement to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

Yunnan Tin may not be able to get a full repayment from its unit because of the "uncertainty in the continuity of the Singapore tin operation,'' it said in the statement.
