Silicon Metal Prices Stabilize Due to Supply Shortage of Spot Goods
China's silicon metal producers continued to keep firm offers today as supply of goods was still sluggish in the spot market. Some cargo-holders adopted a wait-and-see attitude given the reducing inventories. Mainstream offers of #553 silicon metal at Huangpu port were above RMB 13,000/mt and offers of #441 silicon metal at Huangpu port were above RMB 13,400/mt.

Recently, transactions gradually became lackluster in the export market from last week, due to high offers and un-improved demand from overseas market. Although there were only few transactions in the market, purchasers only made purchases in small amount on an as an-needed basis.
