At temperatures above 1350 ℃, titanium dioxide and aluminum oxide undergo solid-state reactions to synthesize aluminum titanate (Al2TiO5). According to its reactivity, the synthesized powder cannot be sintered in air at temperatures ranging from 1400 ℃ to 1600 ℃. In addition, aluminum titanate is easily decomposed into oxides when heated at 800 ℃ -1300 ℃, and decomposes violently at 1100 ℃. Therefore, various additives are usually added, the raw material ratio is adjusted, and the calcination conditions are controlled to improve the above drawbacks. The finished product is used to meet the requirements of heat resistance and thermal shock resistance, even negative expansion can occur, which is currently the best high-temperature resistant material among low expansion materials. Aluminum titanate is a new type of material that combines low thermal expansion coefficient and high melting point. It has a high melting point (1860 ± 10 ℃) and a low thermal expansion coefficient.
