G80 forging D-ring is a commonly used high-strength connecting accessory in the field of lifting rigging. For example, connecting lifting chains, steel wire ropes and suspended objects, the D ring is used as fixed connection points in combination rigging; as well as for vehicle towing hooks and engineering machinery traction anchor points. Therefore, it is mainly used in heavy lifting, engineering machinery lifting, port loading and unloading, mining lifting, container locks and other fields.
The core process of G80 forging D-ring is forging forming, and the specific production process is as follows: first, selecting low-alloy steel billets that meet the strength requirements of G80, and doing composition inspection and flaw detection to ensure that there are no defects in the raw materials. Second, heat the steel billet to the forging temperature and place it in a dedicated D-ring mold for forging. The D-ring body blank is obtained in one molding process, and the forging process distributes the metal streamline along the contour of the D-ring. Third, adjusting the hardness and toughness of the D-ring through quenching and high-temperature tempering to obtain good comprehensive mechanical properties and eliminate internal stresses during forging. Fourth, after completed the heat treatment, carrying out shot blasting treatment to remove the surface oxide scale, and then galvanizing or spray coating treatment. Last, make dimension inspection and tensile strength test.

The daily maintenance of G80 forging D-ring is simple but crucial. Firstly, before installation and use, the D-ring body should be checked for cracks, deformation, and severe corrosion on the surface. If cracks or plastic deformation are found on the body, it must be replaced immediately and continued use is strictly prohibited. During use, it is necessary to ensure that the direction of force is along the center plane of the D-ring, to avoid deformation caused by lateral force, and overloading is strictly prohibited. When storing, it should be placed in a dry environment to avoid moisture and rust. If the surface anti-corrosion layer is found to be damaged, it should be promptly repainted with anti-corrosion paint. After the D-ring has been subjected to impacts exceeding the rated load, non-destructive testing must be conducted to confirm that there are no internal cracks before it can continue to be used.
